I'm really glad that for most of you, this is a rare, and minor annoyance but for me, it is getting to be a frequent aggravation.

I replaced the broken switch assembly yesterday, and the broken engine cover latch that a co-worker broke immediately after the high beam switch. (Don't ask how one led to the other, you wouldn't believe me if I told you).

Today, I drove to the hardware store to copy some keys. I opened the bonnet to retrieve something and this gentleman walks up with the usual "Wow! You hardly see these anymore! Blah, blah, incorrect DeLorean trivia, blah."

I said "That's nice" and went to close the trunk lid. This guy GRABS THE TRUNK LID and STOPS ME FROM CLOSING IT so that he can keep examining the contents.

I almost snapped. I looked at him, and with an ice-cold voice, I said "Excuse me, is there a problem here?" He let go, put his palms up and walked away without a word.

Yes, I believe geography has a little to do with it. This guy was clean, decently dressed, and well-spoken but he was just fraggin' rude and retarded. This is just the nature of Baltimore/Washington D.C. ghetto-plex.

I am absolutely convinced that my car is a magnet to every jack-hole and re-tard with in a 500 meter radius. Sigh...at least it's fixed.
