What does being a westerner have to do with being respectful of other peoples property? As an easterner i find that insulting, but coming from the west, I'm not surprised. Come to NJ, we'll show you some politeness and tolerance. boB www.bobcutrupi.com Sent from my iPad @yahoo.com> wrote: > Right on Toby! I have shown my car several times per year during my 28 years of ownership. The number of rude, unthinking individuals I have encountered can be counted on one hand and none of those caused any damage other than fingerprints. And, let's face it, folks, the first time you saw a DeLorean you probably ran your hands/fingers over the surface to see if you could feel the graining. I know I did. And that's the very reason others do it. > > Toby, I don't think it is the rain. I think that we westerners are a) more respectful of other folks property and b) a bit more tolerant of unthinking errors on the part of others!! > > Just my 2¢. > > Dick Ryan > Vin 16867 > Steamboat Springs, Colorado > > This is an interesting and eye-opening thread. I have owned Winged1 for just shy of 23 years and have had it in countless car shows, rallies, parades, and promotional events. I can only recall perhaps a handful of incidents where somebody was disrespectful of the car or abusive towards me. I guess that we grow "them" differently up here in the Pacific Northwest. Granted, I have had a few folks jump in and have a friend snap a quick picture when they think that I am not looking, but there has never been any damage or mischief to speak of. Most of the time people will ask politely if they can sit in the car, and many people ask for permission just to take a picture of it on display. Maybe all of the rain up here washes away the rudeness? Fascinating. > > > > Toby Peterson VIN 2248 "Winged1" > > DMC Northwest > > DeLorean Parts Northwest > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
