I have used a mity vac liquivac many times to change the oil in my Mercedes
and other cars. Why? I sometimes do not feel like removing the underbody
cladding and the oil filter on my engine is a filter element fitted into a
canister on the engine.
A lot of people complain"oh you dont get under the car and get to inspect
things, blah blah blah".. So? If you are a responsible owner, car guy,
smart, you will always inspect your car and there really isn't much on the
underside of an engine to look at unless you are leaking fluids.
I like using a liquivac and you can make one yourself out of an old propane
tank and a vacuum pump out of a refrigerator.
Also, I have experience changing oil in a DMC-12 and after going through it
the first time I said.. never again.. A liquivac and nothing less.
