Same thing happened to me, few weeks ago, only I pegged that needle
real good.
4" hose lower drivers side behind engine.
Pain to get to.
It must be very exposed to the heat, wear, etc. maybe more so than
some of the others.(?)
Now things seem to be fine. Perhaps still runs on the hot side, so
today I changed out my thermostat, just to be safe.
(I feel the heat might have damaged it.)
