The quick answer is that it's way more difficult than you would at first think. There're a surprising number of custom parts that require fabrication - knee pads, handbrake lever mount, wing mirror housings, wing mirror wiring, wiper arm elbows, steering rack, pedal box, windscreen grill, ventilation system and AC hoses to name but a few. The pedal box on a 5-speed RHD is much tougher than an automatic, and it's a problem that was never properly solved by Wooler-Hodec. I'm very proud of finally having cracked it with our very special one-off conversion for a customer in Australia, currently in progress.
