OK, now that the Spring Holiday season is all but behind us, it is now time to turn the focus of most DeLorean enthusiasts to the first national DeLorean event of the new decade. DCS 2010 in Lexington, KY is now only 70 days away, so if you have not signed up yet, put down that basket of Easter candy and register your hotel room(s) now, and event register too. With just over two months left before the show, Ken needs to get things tightened up and settled, so if you have not hotel registered, get it done before discount deadline (April 15). I know the economy is not much better for most people than it was for DCS 2008, but that is just a better excuse to share a room with another DeLorean enthusiast, so book that room NOW. Ken has said many times (including this year) that it is the room bookings that directly relates to which guests and how many guests he can invite, for all of us to enjoy. It's true. However, it is also important to note that there are several big-time DeLorean enthusiasts that help make this show great beyond the guest speakers and the celebrities at DCS. It is people like Tony Swann and Matt Sommer who spend plenty of weekends before the show, contacting former DMC employees and sifting through their DeLorean memorabila collections. The DCS DeLorean Museum will once again benefit from the vast collection of DeLorean Corporate memorabilia of Matt Sommer, so make sure to reserve at least an hour to view the Museum. With at least four former DMC employees attending DCS, it is also a great time to catch them while they spend time in the museum, to help answer burning questions like what is a POG? Many of us know the "Fairy Tree" story from the construction days of the DMC Factory, but have you ever seen a photo of it? These are just a few things making the museum extra special. So, for those of you still finishing up your taxes, remember both important deadlines on April 15 - DCS Hotel Registration and then get your taxes in the mail by midnight. There is a whole lot of work that goes into a DCS Event that most of you do not see (behind the scenes), but the one thing we can all do to help is to Hotel Register and Event Register. See you in Lexington!!
