Have you contacted Josh (I forget his last name) at DeLorean Performance
Industries in Ohio, formerly McFly Motorsports? I believe he does frame-off
restorations with extant frames for folks whose frames are degraded to the
point where repair is unfeasible. If he has an "extra" maybe he would sell
it to you.
