Travis hit the nail on the head! Consider using the oversize ribbed aluminum
riv-nuts from McMaster Carr and you won't have to do any fiberglass work.
That is what we do in the shop as it saves time and is stronger than the
original riv-nut. BTW David jack-nuts are used for the rear license plate
but aren't really suitable for fiberglass work. Now a question for you
David..who is Mr. G anyway :-) ?
