I would bet most people use the cassette with an adapter for hooking up an ipod.
I used to have an MP3 player in the shape of a cassette that fit right in there.
However, the best bet to keeping it all original would be to use a MP3 player or a Sirius
radio with a transmitter to the radio.
That's the best bet!
I might be interested in them if the price is right, there was a radio sitting on top of the time
circuits in the movie that was just for looks, these would work great for me!
Let me know!

Subject: [DML] Craig Radios..
There was some discussion last year about Craig radios.. And I was just wondering what the market is for them?
I have 3 radios. All of them work, but have display issues.
Figuring, what the heck, I took one apart and soldered the ribbon cable and was able to restore the display. However, after a dozen or so cycles of the cassette door, it flaked out again.
I then used some thin wire and ran all new conductors to the display.. The result is the display works great now, but the door it too stiff to put a tape in. As I started to look online for modern flexible flat cables to replace the old one with, I started thinking.... Does anyone even use the cassette anymore?!
So assuming lots of people have Craig radio's with broken displays, would anyone be interested in a repair that disabled the cassette? How much more would people be willing to pay to have the cassette still work? I am guessing most people by now have their iPods attached to FM transmitters.
For me, I'd rather replace it all with a modern stereo unit... but I know there are some purists out there.. And hey, I have some time on my hands now and could use the extra cash. :)
