There is another point to remember, the frame #'s were assigned by the company making the frames having nothing to do with the vin #'s. Same thing with the motors, the company making the motors assigned seriel #'s with no regard for the car they would be put into. There was no way DMC could coordinate the parts to match the #'s which they were not assigning and it would have been a logistical impossibity to try to match things up. When they assembled a car they used the next part in the stack.
