One solution to putting online names with faces would be to have an "online meet-up" event at DCS.  A room would be reserved for an hour or 2 on one day, preferably at a time when not much else is going on.  Everyone interested/able would stop by that room & don a name badge (which should include your internet moniker if you go by a name other than your own when posting to the various forums).  Another group I belong to did this & met in the hotel restaurant/bar.  Simple solution & worked well.
