Could be the battery. If it is over 5 years old replace it. If it is less have it load-tested. If that doesn't help I would start checking out the fuel system and if it has been a very long time since your last tune-up maybe it is time again. For the past year or so the D would have cold start issues so I ordered the Cold Start switch and it hasn't arrived yet. My dilemma stems from when I stupidly shut the car off at a very long light and when I went to start it the car wouldn't crank but the a/c fan, radio etc worked. After pushing the car to the side I tightened the battery posts but they were tight to begin with. I tried starting the car and she started right up which leads me to my question. Could this be symptoms of a starter on its way out? (Has original starter and car has 14000 original miles) Could there be a short in the battery or a problem with the positive terminal that I disconnect from time to time at car shows? This has only happened once but it's enough to cause concern. Is there anything else that I should be looking for?? Any suggestions are appreciated.
