Congratulations on your purchase. 1) That noise is probably the fuel pump. It makes noise but a high pitched whine is probably not the noise it should be making. Check that the pick-up hose is not soft or kinked. The fuel pump may be on it's way out. 2) You might have to lubricate the bushings and spring perches with silicone lube. 3) Have the battery load-tested. If it is over 5 years old just replace it. If the tires are over 7 years old they should also be replaced. If the brake and clutch fluid is over 2 years old flush and replace that too. Have the coolant tested for Ph and strength. If it is older than 4 years it should be flushed out and replaced. David Teitelbaum vin 10757 --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Adam B. A high pitched whining noise just started that is coming from the passenger glove compartment area. I popped the truck and can hear it even louder toward the passenger area. I assumed it had something to do with the air conditioning, but the noise is there whenever the car is running regardless of the air conditioning or heat being on and off. Any idea what it could be? Is it serious? > > 2. The front suspension is quite squeaky over bumps and around turns (mostly front/right). Is this something a general car mechanic could lubricate and fix, or do I need a Delorean specialist? What direction could I give a mechanic about how to approach it? I have the Eibach Suspension. > > 3. I left my headlights (new Silverstar halogens) on for about 10-15 minutes while the ignition was off. I tried to start the car, and it looks like the 15 minutes of headlight usage drained enough power from the battery to prevent me starting the car again. Is this normal? I actually was able to jump start the engine with the Wagan Easy Quick Jumper (a cigarette lighter to cigarette lighter jumper device, which I had bought "just in case" and was shocked actually worked), which I assume is safe for the car (or at least safer than a normal jump start). > > Any info you have would be greatly appreciated! > > Thanks all, > > Adam Troy > Vin# 15112 > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
