Elvis,

My remark on the jump start was only "parrotting" what I have noticed from other complaints. Should have investigated a bit more before doing so. From now on I will not be mentioning it again. Following hear-say sometimes is stupid. Well.... I'm a human.

My 2572 indeed had bad soldering and blown capacitors. No burnt traces though. After repair, using your diagrams and info, the GC was in a perfect state. Mind that I also replaced the "power" resistors while in there (a bit more Watts). This also seem to help improve stability of the circuitry.

On the burnt traces, yes, I have seen more than two (not many) that had traces burnt away over an inch or more. Could have been overheating of components, I'm not sure what the source was.

Since 2572 now has a new owner and my new 6513 is a 5-speed it is obvious I lost some interest in new developments for the GC. I try to keep updated as far as possible.
