That "don't press the lock button" is not totally true.
According to those who are knowledgeable: If you manually close the latches of
the open door you work on, you may use the locking system without endangering
the latch mechanism.
However when finished, do not forget to open the latches (manually) otherwise
you damage the latches when closing the door.>>
Yes, that's correct Joe. I'm referring to the way it's most commonly done, namely, without moving the latches into the "closed" position with the doors open, something which is even easier to do without a remote door opener, as I said.
