The "slip" is limited by your foot on the gas pedal. Don't expect the
differential to help, it is not a torque limiting type. There never
was an option in the world of Deloreans for a "limited slip"
differential. In the bigger world of Renault there are ways to do it.
In the world of Lotus there is such a thing as a Quiffe but don't ask
what it costs. Lotus's don't come with a limited slip diff either and
they use the same family of transmisssion, different version.
Deloreans are not the "best" car in the snow or ice. Those wide rear
tires don't help. Best advice, park the car for the winter. Don't even
THINK of chains. If you must, maybe studded rear snow tires?
