I'm not very sure there is a proper color, Jack.
My 2572 had black facia front and rear but they were what you denote 
as "dull".
I have seen other cars in our Dutch club with facia varying from very 
shiny black to dull black.

I guess only DMCH may know the exact black variaties used at the 
factory.
I do not count my newest 6513 as this one is painted hi gloss black all 
over :)
