"..If I remember correctly disconnecting the idle speed motor when the car is idling should cause the engine to stop right? Thanks all for your helpful suggestions Joe P." uuuhm - NO ! I don't know why this misinformation keeps showing up, but no, disconnecting the idle-motor connector won't close it, instead it will remain in any position. Most likely it will remain where it was. I didn't find out that mine was broken (the bearings were rusted, but I could fix it) until I tried to move the shaft with a screw driver. Well, idle didn't hunt back then :-) Regards, Elvis & 6548 ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
