Craig, Are you talking about the over flow tank in the engine compartment
not the radiator. 
Normally if you get coolant that backed out of the over flow tank tube to
the ground it's thermostat. If that hasn't been replaced in a long time then
I would try it first and then move on to the radiator. I wouldn't waste my
time or money in trying to clean out the original old one if you still have
it.
Be careful about some vendors trying to sell a rebuilt 25 year old 2 row
rebuilt as new. They had brass end tanks put on them an call them new.

Hi Guys,

I just came home from a car show and radiator overflow started to drain out
through the tube for about a minute or two then stop.I let it cool down then
tried it again and the same thing happened.If anyone has some ideas I would
appreciate it.
