[DML] Interesting all in one stereo for the D

Well, not all in one, but most in one... It doesn't have HD radio,
Satellite radio, or CD changer options built in, but it does have just
about everything else you could imagine.
I came across this surfing around a bit looking at stereo options:
http://www.autodvdgps.com/1-din-car-gps-dvd-player-5-digital-touchscreen
-ipod-port-bluetooth-tv-tuner-p-17.html
This is a single din car stereo that would go into the Delorean dash
using the single din plate, or by cutting your original mounting plate.
What we have here is a unit with a video screen and touch screen
features that does not block the AC vents.
It has AM/FM/CD/DVD/GPS/TV/Bluetooth/USB all for about $300. They offer
a kit with a back up camera, and an auxiliary antenna for TV broadcasts.
One note on the TV function for those of us in the US though, it looks
like it only tunes analog TV broadcasts. After February most Analog
broadcasting stations will go off the air, leaving only low power
stations still broadcasting analog. This TV feature will be short lived
unless you want to get creative and also install a DTV to analog
converter box - do-able, but a bit kludge.
The Bluetooth was a big selling point for me too, as its illegal to talk
on a cell phone while driving in CA now without hands-free, and it's
pretty tough in a 5-speed even in states where you can still do it.
I don't have one (yet - I might get one early next year). I did contact
one guy who purchased one of these units who said they did ship it and
he did receive it in good order, but had not installed it yet. I would
love to hear from anyone who decides to give themselves one of these as
a Christmas gift, or about other interesting Delorean compatible stereo
units.
Tom
