Craig, What your describing is called starter drag. 25+ year old starter,
weak solenoid, bad brushes and just plain old. I have brand new one or
rebuilt ones with a 5 year warranty. Some of the earlier vin cars needed a
modification but not knowing your vin I can tell you if yours is in that
category or not. 2547 earlier needed the mod.

Hi Guys,

I am having trouble starting my D, after it sits for a few days.I turn the
key and it tries to start but does not turn over.I will try this a few times
while waiting abuot 5 or 10 minutes in between and then it starts rigt
up.Does anyone have any ideas.
