The brake light circuit is pretty simple. The problem will usually
turn out to be:
Burnt out bulbs
Bad/misadjusted brake light switch
Wiring problem, loose connection, corrosion, wire or plug disconnected
A problem in the tail light boards
Instead of guessing, it is best to use a voltmeter or test light and
diagnose the problem. About the best place to start is the brake light
switch. See that it has power and when you depress the pedal it passes
the electric through.
