Generally shims are made out of sheet metal of varying thicknesses.
You use whatever is appropriate trying to use the thickest ones
instead of many thin ones. I would start by trying no shims and taking
measurements. If it seems necessary to add then you try some and see
how it looks. It will take a lot of trial and error.
