The shims on the body side of the hinge control up-and-down. The shims
on the hinge to the door affect in-and-out. Alignment is achieved when
the door is not above or below the ajacent panels and the gaps between
the door and the ajacent panels is approximitley equal all around or
at least similar to the other side. This can take a lot of trial and
error till you get it close enough to be acceptable. You may have to
adjust the nearby panels to get a good fit.
