John,
Why are those molds so expensive? They do not need to be made of solid gold!
I am in the process of making all the rubber bushings out of polyurethane.
I'm having them made for my new frame.
If someone is interested I can have them make some more. No, there is no
$600 mold needed. Actually, the mold costs just a few dollars. The problem
is with the metal components of a bushing. In case of the control arm
bushings it's easy... all that is needed is a metal sleeve. With the TAB
bushing it will be a little more complicated. I'm also working on making new
motor and transmission mounts. Since polyurethane can be molded to any shape
and any hardness I believe this will be a great improvement. I just need the
metal parts fabricated first and then the poly bushing will be molded on
that.
