For example, even though S1 and S2 Esprits had slightly wider rear rims, they were the same diameter as the fronts. What Lotus did not have was radically different spoke design, front & rear. This picture probably documents Lotus experimenting with rims, as they were with all other aspects of the car. Wonder if PJGradyUK could be prevailed upon to measure rim diameters of the pilot wheels in its possession?
