Farrar's PCV is plumbed identically to mine. He uses the same PCV valve as well: http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/groups/g_hr_1154320/af49/__hr_/25ad.jpg?grwgzYIBhHJ6wASN http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/groups/g_hr_1154320/af49/__hr_/3d75.jpg?grwgzYIBj_d63aEd http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/groups/g_hr_1154320/af49/__hr_/8c2b.jpg?grwgzYIBsdiCzIRl Notice: PCV is attached to a filter air breather. PCV is attached to a full vacuum barb (not a ported barb on the side of the throttle plates). This is how PCV is supposed to be plumbed. Considering that I've been working on cars for more than a quarter century, I think by now I've learned how to plumb PCV. The gasses typically escape in to the atmosphere through the open hose on the oil breather. IMHO, David's theory only makes sense if you capped off the large hose on the oil breather. That is the route of least resistance for the crankcase gasses to escape. I don't see how enough "stuff" could escape through the distributor to cause a fire if the breather is unobstructed. > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
