Um.. WOW.. All I can say is WOW.. Who said this?? The fact that an officer given the privilege to serve the members would even THINK this is sick and sad. That person clearly does not want to be an officer. The rest of your comments are not much of a surprise to me, knowing Dan as well as I do. Frankly I think you were too easy on him. I know how awful he can be when he feels trapped. He fights dirty. Having been in your shoes not too long ago, I would think no less of you if your resign. However, I chose not to run again this year and I have become another powerless $15 paying member. Had I tried to keep my position as officer, I would have a better shot to keep things in order. With that said, if you feel it is having a significant impact on your "real life", health and well being, by all means you should resign. IMHO, The club is important, but not worth any significant personal risk. --- On Tue, 6/24/08, Tiffany Olejnik <bck2thefuture88@ netscape. net> wrote: The majority of the officers believe the members do not need to know what we are doing. One officer even said "There's no reason to share the minutes. It is a club - members pay $15 to participate. The members are not interested in what goes on at the meetings. If they don't like it they can leave and at most are out $15 - and, we can refund that if they want." This is yet another violation of the bylaws where it is clearly stated, "The Secretary shall record the minutes and votes of all meetings and make them available to the Officers and members." I am not sure how it could be any clearer, yet the officers still continue to argue over this in dozens of e-mails, and multiple late night conference calls. It even generates into steering the issues into personal insults in the style of a school yard bully. ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
