Tom, This morning I read about 1 ohm when the switch closed naturally because of the resistance of the contacts and I got about 62 degree when the switched closed. Difference in the meter and the accuracy of the switch. It is a switch, so you will only see two states - shorted (about 0 ohms) or open (infinite). There should be no resistance in this circuit... well, maybe 1 or 2 ohms for the wiring. If you see more then it's time to clean the connections. According to the shop manual (page D:04:10 and D:04:11) the switch will activate when the temperature is BELOW 15 degrees C or 59 degrees F. This means that below this temperature it should be shorted (single ohms, beep on continuity test) and above this temperature it should read open circuit.
