Yes, the Buick Grand National powered DeLorean should be ready for DCS 2008, but my other projects may not make DCS. With the price of regular unleaded fuel hitting $4.05/gallon this week in the Chicago area, my guess is the D Rex will be staying close to home for a while, so if DCS does not come back relatively close to Chicago, the only DeLorean events it may be attending are the future DMC Midwest Open Houses unless fuel prices drop to reasonable rates for transport. If anyone would like to see the D Rex in person this year, it is still on extended display at the Volo Auto Museum, about a half hour drive from DMC Midwest. The D Rex is on display with the Monster Garage DeLorean Team Rock Crawler. The one and only DeLorean event that had the D Rex and the GT40 Rock Crawler on display was DCS 2004 (a big transport). Taking one or even two vehicles to an event may be costly, but that's nothing compared to transporting many vehicles across country, like I did for DCS 2002 and DCS 2004. Even having it close by made it less expensive, but still a bit difficult to try to get a half dozen vehicles to one place, then the few days afterward to get them all back home. I guess things will get easier when all my nephews drive.
