While serving on active duty overseas, my notoriosly unreliable 
injection system on my fiat spyder was too much to bear and finally 
gave out. I was lucky enough to find in a junkyard a carburated 124, 
and a mechanic that could throw it all together. This was not 
maintenance free since the usual gapping of the points, etc. would 
still have to be regularly performed. Bottom line was that it made an 
undriveable car driveable. If this is your issue, and have the means, 
go for it. Otherwise, IMHO, leave it alone.
