Update on an old question.
On my first car, the red plastic pin in the high/low switch broke out. Same in my second car. I got a good used switch from Ed Uding, it only lasted for 1/2 mile. Again, the red pin broke.
I noticed that the replacement switch from DMCH has that part in an off-white plastic. Can anyone illuminate this? maybe the plastic turns red just before it fails...
No, I'm not serious.
Tom

On my first unit I believe it was a red pin, I have not pulled the
second unit yet - I'm way out of town...

Tom,
I have been able to repair one of these. Because most
of the parts are plastic, you might be able to rebuild
the broken part. Can you tell which part has
malfunctioned?
