John, 
Experienced DeLorean clutch replacement in and out is about 5 to 6 hours
with no trouble or interruptions. 

1st time person transmission people with equipment is about 8 hours.

Normally there is clean up while the trans is out and testing when done. 

It's not a hard job or anything mystical, if you find a shop locally that
will do it ( and I feel the way Mark does on AAmco ) then maybe this will
help.     

I have people in your area that can and will do it if you want my help.

About how long should it take to change the clutch on my five speed? 
AAmco says they can do it but has no idea how long it will take and 
can't quote me a price. I already bought a clutch kit and am looking 
for just labor. What would be a reasonable rate?
