When disassembling 3238 for a fresh water pump and tune up, the throttle rod got hung up so badly on the throttle spool ball that I broke the ball off the spool (yes, I had removed the wire clip). The new throttle spool control plate 102782 and linkage rod have arrived and its time to carefully disassemble the old spool and put on the new part. The car is an auto so it has the second cable on it as well. This strikes me instinctively as a simple mechanical part and common sense should dictate the procedure. Usually my instincts about these things are dead wrong, so, can anyone offer tips, warnings, or a procedure? I didn't find one in the service manual.
