The previous owner of my car got everything from DMC, including
replacement door struts a couple of years ago. I ordered a pair of
"soft lift" struts from John Hervey a few weeks ago. They look the
same as OEM struts, but they are supposed to push less quickly. When
he ships me the door prop I ordered, I'll install them and let you
know how they feel. In the meantime, you could ask him for the specs.
