When the window reaches the end of its travel, it stops.... and so does the
motor. By holding down the power button you are supplying power to a
"stalled" or stopped motor which causes it to "draw" much more current than it does
when it's moving. (Has to do with back EMF.) So you are using a lot more
current which puts a strain on the electrical system. The large current causes
a drop in the system voltage and thus the dimming of the lights.

Why is it that when you continue to hold your electric window buttons
after the windows are in position, the volts drops sharply and the
headlights get dim. This isn't just on DMCs but all cars.
