I've checked the idle speed microswitch and the idle speed motor and
they're both working, as far as I can tell. (BTW, the idle speed motor
is not original -- it's newer. And so is the vacuum solenoid.)

My problem is that I can't find anywhere to plug in the other end of
that lead! Here's a photo for reference I found this morning on John
Hervey's website:

What I've got is the end with the black wire and the two blue-striped
wires and nothing up there to plug it into. Hervey's website says it's
"usually behind the intake manifold."

I'm not driving the car today (Arr, for there be rain in the forecast
today, matey!), so when I get home, if I have the time, I'll take the
manifold off and see what I can find down there.
