So after never having a warm start issue, I had to replace my water pump last weekend. I did not remove the injecters or lines, I just disconnected them from the fuel distributer. I have checked and rechecked every vacuume line and connector and everything looks good. The car starts great cold or hot. If it sits for between 2-4 hours it seems to vapor lock and wont start. If I try starting it every two minutes it will start to clear up and finally start after about 15 minutes. Would the sensor in the water pump (thermo time I think) cause this? Any other thoughts on how to troubleshoot? I read old posts and they suggest the accumulator, but it only happened after changing the water pump so I am doubting it could be a coincidence.
