Although my poor car has been sitting in the driveway for a couple of weeks (she needs engine work I'm afraid,) I have also noticed my door struts' change in performance. I went out there to start it up and get some CD's out of my back seat- er, shelf. The temperature went down to around 1 degree last night, and this in MO! Passenger side sags more than the driver's side, but the driver's torsion bar is a little overtight. This unfortunately causes my gull wing to bounce a little. I don't want to mess with that unless I'm with at least 2-3 other experienced D mechanics. :( I have PJ Grady struts on there, but I don't know how old they are as they were on the car when I bought her in '04. I should probably replace them and have that bar worked on. I'd rather spend $2K beefing up the engine, not just one door hinge. In the words of the great Doc Brown, "Damn! Gotta fix that thing." Man, what's the deal with this coldness? It's currently 5 degrees in KC proper! I moved down here from MI to get away from doing stainless donuts in the snow. -John/#10715 North of currently-freezing Kansas City, MO To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
