Farrar, I have had one set of the Stabilus door struts since I brought them back about 4 years due to mechanical failure. I now have designed and built new door struts that fullyed opened the doors this morning at about 40 degrees and I have added a new damper to keep the door from banging at the top as it gets hotter. I call them the new " Soft lift" door struts. All struts are going to sag over time and new ones just as well. How much depends on the torsion bar, the strut it's self and how cold. They still sag badly when it's below 60F. Should I try a stronger strut, or should I get the torsion bars adjusted by a pro?
