A pet peeve of mine....I hate that word "REFURBISHED"...all that really means is that in the case of a vehicle it was "checked out" nothing was nessarily done to the vehicle,it just means it starts, runs, goes forward and backward etc.In the case of electronics it just means that it turns on and off(works)It is a favorite word for scammers..trying to make a item sound as if it was "totally rebuilt"!! If you see a Ad with the word "refurbished" it is a RED LIGHT as a scam item,as the seller is trying to make the item sound as if it is totally rebuilt, when in reality maybe a tune-up and oil change were the only things done..walk away from that vehicle,or for that matter ANY item that is claimed as "refurbished"!! Example: the idiots on ebay, that are selling used laptop LCD screens in the ORIGNAL untouched housings..and claiming them as "refurbished" again all they did is make sure it worked/started.They in no way or fashion corrected or rebuilt anything, but use the word to make it sound more valuable/rebuilt. The Correct term(s) is Rebuilt(as the seller claims)New/OEM/AS NEW/used, ect,and a few others that I cannot think of at this time. Just remember anytime you see the word "refurbished" walk away or pass on that car or item. You will be glad you did!!
