BUT that was the whole problem...they were using/engineering parts for a mid-engined car,and using/trying to engineer them for a REAR engined car..the result was having to use BIGGER tires in the rear to compensate!! Since Lotus could NOT engineer out the bad effects using the engineering from the Esprit.If it was done correct as with what Porsche did with their Porsche rear engined cars,it would not have needed bigger tires in the rear to compensate for the ability of the back of the Delorean to want to become the front in any kind of curve/turn.Also what I meant was the fact that you had to use the crappy U shims that FALL OUT and then causes poor rear alighment,and then causes the bolt to bend/snap/seize in place(as they engineered the wrong type of bolt) that could cause a catastrophic accident,if it were to snap.
