Re power steering. I have been monitorinig this forum since it started and there have been many suggestions and theories re installing power steering, but I have never seen where anyone actually did it. Most of the comments are excuses for NOT installing one....like the front end has no engine therefore it is light and you never know the difference anyway....baloney. When you spent most of your life (86 years for me) driving all kinds of cars, you sure know and feel the difference. My wife intended to drive the DeLorean when we got it 12 years ago, but quickly changed her mind after one try. It sure is not THAT hard to steer, but standing still and trying to turn it enough to get away from the curb, changes your mind in a hurry. We have a 1965 Corvair with rear engine and no power steering and it comes the closest to being as easy to steer as anything I have ever driven. But it is a lighter car. FWIW Dept.
