I guess I must be getting old or maybe my quick, steel trap mind is
getting rusty, but what the heck does having an automatic transmission
have to do with making your new D noisy?  Yeah, it cruises at slightly
higher rpms, but other than for that - - - ?

My first D was an automatic and it was driven on many, many long (like
2000 to 5000) mile trips.  It made less noise than my current 5 speed,
but that's only because of the muffler system I have on this one.

Anyway, Farrar, you are right about the D being a fun road car.  WE
look forward to each summer when we take the DeLorean on long trips to
new places within the USA.

PS  I've just purchased a wonderful little log cabin out in the woods
near Hendersonville.  At sometime in the future it may well become the
new home for my D.  I'm looking forward to getting better acquainted
with a new group of DeLorean owners.
