Hey Shannon I had the same problem with my delorean and it was indeed the front brake rotors. Usually resurfacing the brake rotors will take away any of the warpness in the rotors if there is enough metal on them. If they are cut to thin then the chance of them warping again is higher. use a micrometer to measure the thickness and compare it to the minimum thickness allowed by the factory specifications. If they will be to thin replace the rotors and that should take care of your problem Ali vin 003149 Shannon <birdwells@xxxxxxx> wrote: I have a shimmy in the steering wheel while braking which I'm interpreting (at the moment) as being due to a warped rotor. It becomes more pronounced as the car slows to a stop. I'm planning on removing the rotors and having them checked. When I mentioned it to a couple of other Delorean owners they said that they have the same problem. Is this a common problem? What are other causes if not rotor related.
