There is a metal plate built inside the VC. That's what you see when you
look into the hole. The space is less than 1/4".

Subject: [DML] Oil Filler Cap
This may sound like a silly question but;
What holds the filter cartridge (102418) in to the oil filler cap (102415)?
The plastic strainer just sits in the bottom of the oil fill pipe right? If
that strainer ever breaks it would end up kicking around inside the
crankcase right?
Thanks
Steve
