You're going to get stuck.
Fuel pump is electric. Radiator fans are electric. Onboard modules are
electric. CPR is electric. Dash gauges are electric.
In the bad old days (diaphragm fuel pump, ignition points, idiot
lights, etc) you could drive 300 miles on the battery. Those days are
long gone.
Just buy an alternator at a local parts house.
