Re: [DML] Price for a New Delorean

That's very true Bob but also consider the materials and craftmanship that goes into a Rolls-Royce. Also a modern Rolls-Royce and Bentley have todays cutting edge technology. That being said, 57,500 for a NEW updated DeLorean with more modern components than the original and a stainless chassis is a bargain. It actually is less that the original. If you look at the 25,000 price in 1981 that would equate to 70,000 today. A fully loaded DeLorean from DMC is 70,000, still less than its quivilant would have been in 1981 dollars. In the collector car world its very reasonable. As long as the quality is high, they will do well. If the quality is poor, then they will have a tough time. From talking with Stephen and James, they seem to have a good plan to put into action. it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

When you consider that the new deloreans are hand built, the pricing is
  not unusual.
Look at Rollls and Bentleys, they are hand built and cost many times
  more.
