NO FLAMES please, I'm a newbie. I'm not a car mechanic, either, so I
have a simple, perhaps dumb, question. If the original poster was
getting excessive pressure differentials in his gas tank that causes
inflows/bursts of air and gasoline when he opens the tank, why couldn't
he just drill a 1/32" hole in the gas cap to relieve the pressure (or
get a new gas cap)? I know he might lose some fuel due to evaporation,
but hot gasoline blowing over the hood seems like a greater risk to
me...
