CAUTION, glue can cause windshields to crack at high summer temperature due to expansion restriction.
Windshield manufactures supply a two sided adhesive backed mounting tape to prevent glass from cracking at high temperature.
The mounting pads may be obtained from auto glass service shops for securing rear view mirrors
